On Saturday, February 21st, Village Clerk George Schleyer and Trustee Amanda Cardin delivered all of the supplies received from the Holiday Supply Drive to benefit the Manteno Veteran’s Facility. They were accompanied by the Scouts and Trustee Dan Badon, who all helped to deliver several car loads filled with much needed supplies for the veterans. After unloading the cars, everyone enjoyed a nice visit with some of the Manteno Veterans. This supply drive was just one way that our community was able to give back to those who gave so much for us. The whole day was a great reminder not only to the Scouts, but to the entire community that freedom isn’t free.
