The Village of Chicago Ridge will be undertaking a Capital Improvement Project to reconstruct a portion of the existing Police Department parking lot along with the adjacent commuter lot. The parking lots will be reconstructed using permeable pavers. This is a water quality improvement project that is being partially funded through a Metropolitan Water Reclamation District (MWRD) Green Infrastructure Grant. Construction is anticipated to begin in early September 2022 and be completed by late November 2022.
Throughout construction, a portion of the Police Department parking lot and the entire commuter lot will not be available for parking. Please be aware of the upcoming construction activity and follow the posted traffic control advisory signs. While the parking lots are closed, visitors will be allowed to park in the Village Hall visitors parking lot and in the additional parking lot east of Village Hall along Oxford Avenue. Handicap parking will be allowed in the drop-off lane for Village Hall and the Police Department. Please see the Temporary Parking Area Exhibit identifying these locations.
Please note that 105th Street and Oxford Avenue including the adjacent parking stalls will be under construction during this timeframe and parking along these streets may be inaccessible as well.
